Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include

  • Account management lead with a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience working in an agency environment on innovation, technology and hypergrowth clients. Expertise in healthcare technology, AI, robotics, blockchain a big plus.
  • Exceptional client service record with ability to problem solve, counsel and interact effectively with senior management at client organizations.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to craft strategy for new business presentations.
  • Ability to conceive and oversee the creation and activation of integrated communication programs, and related strategies, message development and corporate positioning.
  • Ability to counsel senior clients and their executives with flawless earned media strategy.
  • Lead account teams in the execution of all programs and assume accountability for meeting all program deliverables. 
  • Act as mentor and coach for team members, taking an active role in their professional development and building a team based on mutual respect and trust.

March is a Boston PR agency — with an office in Atlanta — that partners with innovative B2B and consumer technology companies in verticals like consumer tech, security, robotics, AI and healthcare.


Our interns gain unmatched entry-level experience in the center of the action, joining client teams to help produce content, brainstorm strategies, participate in new business efforts, conduct research, write social media and blog posts, track coverage and organize media lists, and join in on client calls and meetings and use critical thinking skills to solve problems and foster client relationships. The Director of Marketing role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of March’s marketing initiatives to ensure the agency’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet revenue and growth objectives. 


Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Marketing’s primary responsibility is to drive revenue by increasing leads through successful marketing initiatives, through use of market research, service/product marketing, marketing communications, PR, content, digital, and social activities.


This is a strategic, full-time position that involves overseeing March’s brand positioning, managing long-term brand equity, and much more. This role can be expanded to new business development.  


To be successful in this role, you will need excellent leadership and communication skills, and you have a strong knowledge and understanding of current marketing trends.


Director of Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and manage overarching agency marketing strategy to advance March’s brand positioning, awareness and growth
  • Develop a strategic annual marketing plan and detailed quarterly marketing plans for the agency and internal groups
  • Plan, organize, localize, implement and oversee all digital and offline marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Manage marketing budget including both online and offline budgets 
  • Work with other members of senior leadership, direct reports, agency partners, and account team members on content development, creation and amplification
  • Work with internal content and social teams to align objectives
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and dashboards showing agency’s ROI for marketing and measures KPIs
  • Analyze results for campaigns
  • Oversee PR strategy to align with brand marketing campaigns  
  • Determines strategy for new service or product launches and provides market analysis
  • Grow and develop the in-house marketing team
  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of competitor positioning
  • Contribute to new business development initiatives.

Qualifications needed:

  • At least 7 years’ marketing professional experience required with progressive managerial responsibilities, including time spent in a director-level marketing role
  • Must have previous experience managing an in-house marketing team 
  • Technology, Consumer technology and innovation brand or agency experience is necessary
  • Skilled in brand positioning, campaign development and leadership, customer value propositions, content development, digital marketing abilities, and data analytics/ROI
  • Expertise in SEO/SEM, 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong public speaking abilities
  • Knowledgeable of lead-gen technology tools, services and vendors
