ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

March Communications is one of the most innovative communications agencies on the East Coast and we are searching for an Account Director who has a proven track record in strategic thinking and planning and a demonstrated passion for helping organizations reimagine innovation and technology.

As an Account Director at March, you holistically lead our accounts with a broader business-wide lens and guide teams to develop meaningful client, media and influencer relationships. You think big and are curious, always questioning typical approaches.

We want you to have experience in:

  • Driving account development, including goal setting, execution and measurement
  • Being a strategic partner to your clients and demonstrating your ability to provide not only PR counsel, yet also broader communications guidance critical to their business
  • Managing up – working with the executive team to guide the account forward and manage the issues including trialing new processes and ways of solving problems
  • Driving account utilization and profitability, working closely with the junior account leads to manage the scope of work and address any issues and opportunities
  • Providing and questioning our value-add to clients and their PR and communications programs, as well as their overall business goals and specific industry opportunities
  • B2B and B2C technology industries
  • Taking the initial lead on new business proposals and pitch decks with the VP+
  • Developing new business and organic client growth opportunities
  • Leading professional development programs
  • Helping to develop the strategy for and participate in March marketing programs

As an Account Supervisor at March, you confidently lead our accounts at the day-to-day level and help teams and clients to keep a step ahead. You are a critical thinker and problem solver and you understand when new approaches, ideas or ways of thinking are needed to take a client forward.

We want you to have experience in:

  • Running the day-to-day strategy and account activities on multiple accounts
  • Mobilizing account teams, and driving collaboration and continuous process improvements
  • Managing all aspects of campaigns to ensure client goals are met

SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

We are searching for a Senior Account Executive with a proven track record in strategic media relations and a passion for building and maintaining media and influencer relationships in the tech and innovation space. 

As a Senior Account Executive at March, you confidently lead our accounts’ media relations strategy and execution, building plans and leading your teams and clients to success. You know the right media and influencers to pitch as well as when to involve other channels and approaches to reach your client’s objectives. You follow industry trends, you are an exceptional writer (short and long form content) and eager to take on more responsibility around integrated PR campaign planning and execution.

We want you to have experience in:

  • Running day to day media and influencer relations strategy and execution 
  • Building strong relationships with media across technology/innovation, vertical, business and broadcast media
  • Understanding and regularly keeping abreast of the changing media landscape
  • Identifying and creating story angles/pitches – following key industry trends, competitors
  • Coaching teams on tried-and-tested tactics as well as new approaches to media relations
  • Measuring and thoughtfully analyzing results  
  • Client management – setting goals and expectations, working through approaches and tactics, relaying results or ways to pivot
  • Creating media relations plans and client reviews 
  • Drafting and measuring social media content 
  • Drafting compelling long and short form content (blogs, bylines, press releases)
  • Participating in new business research and pitches
  • Mentoring junior team members and managing up – working collaboratively with internal teams, and as an extension of clients’ teams
