Led by last year’s smash hit “Serial,” podcasting is reaching new heights in terms of popularity and relevance. According to a Pew Research Center study from earlier this year, around 14 percent of Americans have listened to a podcast in the past month, while around 33 percent of Americans have listened to at least one podcast. Both of those figures are up from a year ago, and the trends have many marketers wondering if podcasts are the next great content marketing medium.
