Join Us Live as We Launch a Social Media Strategy for the Hacks and Flacks Podcast
Since we launched the Hacks and Flacks podcast six months ago, we’ve been relying only on word-of-mouth and our personal social networks (and those of guests and co-workers) to spread word of the podcast. It’s worked well for 11 episodes, but we know it’s time to put together a proper campaign for the show.
Given the nature of the Hacks and Flacks podcast – to provide practical insights and takeaways for PR and marketing campaigns – we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make our own social media strategy the centerpiece of an upcoming episode.
This Friday, June 19, at 10 a.m., we’ll be joined by drew Wallace (the lower-case “d” is a personal branding choice), our guest from our wildly popular episode, “Kids These Days and Their Social Media,” for a live taping of the podcast.
Working with drew, we’ll brainstorm what social media platforms we should use, how we could spin up content across these platforms, and what results we might expect across the whole campaign. The idea is that by making our own strategy public, our listeners can follow what we’re doing and learn from us as the campaign is rolled out over the next few months.
We also want your participation so we can discuss your ideas live during the recording. Please reach out to us on Twitter if you have ideas before or during the show:
Otherwise, look out for a Periscope live-streaming link from our accounts on Friday morning. And if you can’t tune in for the live taping, this episode will be available in podcast form on June 26.
